A recent reserach by a team of glaciologists has found the deepest point on the continental part of the Earth. The deepest point on the land has been located under the Denman Glacier in East Antarctica region.
The trench under the glacier is expected to be extending 3.5 km under the sea level. It also termed as the world’s deepest land canyon by the researchers. The revealing was made in the recently released Antarctica topography map.

The topographic map was published in the journal Nature Geoscience on 12th of December that is yesterday.
