On Wednesday, Delhi Police booked FIR against some individuals allegedly spreading hate messages on social media, encouraging various groups towards violence and creating situations which can tamper with public peace.
FIR Filed Against Nupur Sharma And Others
Special cell unit Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operation (IFSO) registered the FIR, in a long list of FIR “Naveen Kumar Jindal, the expelled head of Delhi BJP’s media unit, Peace Party chief spokesperson Shadab Chauhan, journalist Saba Naqvi, Hindu Mahasabha office-bearer Pooja Shakun Pandey, Maulana Mufti Nadeem” are also involved.
In a second FIR registered under similar accusations, the name of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and some other individuals also came, said Police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IFSO) KPS Malhotra said the FIR is registered against these individuals for spreading hate messages across religions. The special unit will investigate the matter further to conclude the roles of different social media entities to promote hate messages while aiming to tamper with peace in cyberspace which can result in physical disturbance, he said.
Among the few other individuals, the name “Abdur Rehman, Gulzar Ansari and Anil Kumar Meena” are also registered in the FIR.

Nupur Sharma’s Recent Controversy
Currently, Nupur Sharma is facing the consequences of her latest created controversy by making objectionable comments on Prophet Mohammad on May 28, during a television debate for a news channel. An FIR was registered against Sharma for her negative comments in Thane district by Mumbra Police and in Mumbai by Pydonie police.
Meanwhile, Maulana Mufti Nadeem is booked by IFSO, he is from Rajasthan, Bundi, and he is featured in a viral video where he was seen threatening those who speak against the Prophet.
An FIR is also registered against Pooja Shakun Pandey by Aligarh police over her made objectionable comments against Friday Namaz on social media.
