The Delhi Traffic Police plans to set up a National Lok Adalat, which will allow anyone to waive their car challan if it was issued in Delhi. To take advantage of this opportunity, one has to head over to the website and get the e-challan.
An individual can receive the e-challan from the comfort of their own home and then present it to court. The National Lok Adalat would make it easier for citizens in Delhi to waive their challan.
Before registering, each individual must be informed of all applicable laws and regulations. The National Lok Adalat is planned to take place in Delhi on May 14th, and everyone should take notice of the date.
On May 14th, 2022, the court will be open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., so those who need to settle their challan should keep this in mind. To avoid future problems, remember the right car number when booking. To ensure accuracy, the vehicle number should be verified.
Offences including red light violations, PUC, speeding, and failure to wear a seat belt can be reduced or avoided. National Lok Adalat is being organised by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, which is part of the National Legal Services Authority, along with the Delhi Traffic Police.
According to the official announcement, “only 1000 challans/notices shall be taken up for disposal by each bench in all 180 Lok Adalat benches,” resulting in a “total of 1,80,000 challans will be disposed of on 11 May.”
For this, an individual must first get the e-challan from the official website, https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat, and then attend the Lok Adalat. The registration for the National Lok Adalat starts on 7 May 2024.
According to a statement from the Delhi Traffic Police, “National Lok Adalat will be held on May 11, 2024. The site https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat will be live on May 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. till the limit is reached.”
