The Air Quality during winters has always been a concern for residents of Delhi. System Of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) said that air quality of the capital has dropped to severe category on Friday, December 24.
SAFAR is an initiative run by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES). It measures air quality of metropolitan cities across India. The initiative considers over all pollution level and location specific air quality of the city.
The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi is 425.
The AQI in Noida is at 570 which come in critical category. AQI in Gurugram is in very poor category at 375.

Yesterday Gopal Rai, Delhi Environment Minister said that Green Delhi application received 34000 complaints. Authorities have resolved nearly 32000 complaints by now.
