Tanya Kakde, daughter of Congress leader Feroz Khan and Dia Mirza’s Niece, was unfortunately killed in a car accident in Hyderabad, on Monday. Dia took it to her Instagram handle and wrote a heartbreaking note with her niece’s picture and posted it without revealing the cause of her death.
Dia Mirza’s Niece Dies In Car Accident
Dia Mirza uploaded an emotional post on her Instagram handles with the captions, “My niece. My child. My Jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling. You always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti (sic).”
According to RGI Airport police, “Tanya, a beautician, was with Mirza Ali and Diya. Mirza was driving the car rashly, as per the reports. The sunroof of the car was open. When the vehicle overturned, Tanya suffered a severe head injury. She also sustained a severe injury to her right hand. Tanya was rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment, but she has been declared dead by doctors.”
As per Siasat Daily, “Tanya Kakde was coming back from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi international airport with four other friends when the accident took place. The accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling overturned after hitting the road divider at Satamrai. Tanya died while being taken to the hospital. Her body was taken to Osmania hospital and her parents were informed.”

Tanya Kakde, 25-year-old Dia Mirza’s niece and daughter of the Congress party leader Mohammed Feroz Khan, was a performing beautician. Tanya in an earlier interview with You and I magazine had also asserted that her inspiration was Dia Mirza herself. She said, “I grew up watching and learning from all of the strong women in my life: my mother, my Nani, my ammama, Deepa dadi, and my mashi, Dia Mirza.”
