The ‘Agni P’ is a two-stage solid-fuel ballistic missile with twin redundant navigation and guiding systems. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the next generation nuclear capability ballistic missile ‘Agni P’ off the coast of Odisha on Saturday (December 18, 2021).
Various telemetry, radar, electro-optical stations, and down range ships positioned along the eastern coast observed and monitored the missile trajectory and characteristics, according to the Ministry of Defence. The missile flew on a textbook trajectory, achieving all of the mission’s objectives with great precision.

The Ministry of Defense said, “This second flight test has demonstrated the dependable performance of all the sophisticated technology included within the system.”
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh thanked the DRDO on the successful flight test and expressed his delight with the system’s outstanding performance.
