Now Credit Card UPI Payments on GPay
Initially, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) only permitted users to make UPI payments using their bank accounts. However, a recent collaboration between NPCI and Google Pay has enabled the integration of RuPay credit cards with UPI. This integration empowers users to make payments using their credit cards simply by scanning the merchant’s QR code, eliminating the need to carry the physical card.
RuPay has announced that this feature is now available to all RuPay credit card holders from major banks, such as Axis Bank, Indian Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, Punjab National Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Union Bank of India. Moreover, RuPay has assured customers that more banks will soon join in implementing this new initiative.
Hence, if you possess a RuPay credit card from any of the aforementioned banks, you can now link it to Google Pay to facilitate payments. Here’s a step-by-step guide on making UPI payments through GPay using your credit card.
