Bringing a sigh of relief for lakhs of aspirants who are preparing for the JEE Main and NEET exams government announced new dates. The union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal made the announcement. The dates were announced as a part of the minister’s live address to the students today.
The Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) would now be held in July this year. The two coveted entrance exam for engineering and medical were earlier scheduled for April and May respectively. Now, it is pushed for the July-August period. The date for JEE Advanced would be in August and the exact date would be announced later.
Here are the exact dates for the exams:
- JEE Main Exam: On 18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd July in multiple shifts
- JEE Advanced Exam: August (Exact date to be announced later)
- NEET UG Exam: 26th July
The JEE-Advanced exam was earlier scheduled to be held on May 17 while JEE-Mains were earlier scheduled from April 5-11. The NEET-UG exam was scheduled for May. The announcement has brought relief to over 24 lakh students who registered for these two exams this year. Meanwhile, some fun also started on the internet after the announcement of the dates.
