Maharashtra Government minister Eknath Shinde was removed from the position of Legislative Party Leader on Tuesday. Shinde was removed by Shiv Sena amid reports of Shinde moving to a hotel in Surat along with 21 other MLAs.

Now, Sewri MLA Ajay Chaudhary will be the new legislative party leader of Shiv Sena. Shinde took 21 MLAs for dinner after the voting for MLC elections got over.MLAs were told by Shinde that they will be eating in a Dhaba in a Palghar and were taken straight to Surat. It takes around four hours to travel from Palghar to Surat.

The MLAs told the party that they were misguided by Eknath Shinde. The CM’s camp says that Shinde had only eight or nine MLAs with him in Gujarat. They say that Shinde’s claims of having more than 20 MLAs with him are fake.

Eknath Shinde has tweeted from his official Twitter handle, “We are Balasaheb’s staunch Shiv Sainiks. Balasaheb has taught us Hindutva. We have never and will never cheat for power on Balasaheb’s thoughts and Anand Dighe Saheb’s teachings”, the leader wrote.
