According to the official tweet, members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) can now nominate themselves for an EPF/EPS account online.
In a tweet that also included an infographic highlighting the advantages of doing so, EPFO urged that in order to ensure #SocialSecurity for your family/nominee, submit an e-Nomination right away online using UAN.
Using the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) UAN, members can keep track of their many EPF accounts.
In order for qualified family members to receive online payments of PF, Pension, and insurance (EDLI) up to Rs 7 lakhs, the nomination must be made, according to EPFO Twitter.
Although the nominee change is required following marriage, the user may update the nominee at any moment, according to an infographic EPFO posted.
The organisation added that the process only requires self-declaration and that no documentation or employer clearance is required.
The EPFO added that “an EPF member can register a fresh nomination if he or she wants to change a current EPF/EPS nomination.”

The EPFO administers a contributory provident fund, pension scheme, and insurance scheme for the workforce engaged in the organized sector.
