As we all know that provident fund is one of the reliable and best investment options for the long term for any employee. Also, it is like a retirement savings scheme that allows employees to contribute a part of their savings each month towards their pension fund.
Whenever an employee joins another job or organization, he/she gets a new PF number linked to the same UAN. But many times many employees end up having two or more UANs. It can be due to several reasons like a change of jobs or forgetting your UAN.
However, you can easily merge your UANs with the following easy steps.

Step 1: Log in to UAN portal
Step 2: Raise a request to transfer the EPF accounts linked with the previous UAN to the new one
Step 3: Once the UAN accounts get transferred, the previous UAN will be disabled
Step 4: Employee will get a deactivation status through text message
In case, if the new UAN is not activated then you must first complete the transfer of old EPF accounts to the new UAN.
