You might have heard of ‘dancing shoes’, ‘dancing moves’ and even ‘dancing car’ (If you have watched P.K. Movie). However a ‘Dancing House’ is something that might come to you as a first-timer.
Well for the residents of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, its a part of their architectural wonders. Known as the “Nationale-Nederlanden Building” the house is adding to the charm of the city from the past 2 decades. The house was opened in 1996 4 years after its construction started in 1992. The house is supported by 99 concrete panels with each one of them in different shapes and sizes. When looked at the building actually looks like as if a couple is dancing.
Designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Miluni, the house resembles the two iconic American dancers- Fred and Ginger. On the top of the building is a large metal twisted structure nicknamed ”Mary”. A tower is made of rock used to represent Fred while the other tower is made of glass, representing Ginger.

The two towers are an architectural wonder of the city are visited by many tourists. The structure has 9 floors, and all the rooms in it are asymmetrical. Two floors of the building were renovated in 2016 into a 21-room hotel by Luxury Suites. A Ginger & Fred restaurant is also there on the seventh floor.
