Initially, Facebook announced multiple audio-based features this year and now Facebook is introducing a dedicated Audio hub for them. This feature will give quick access to podcasts, short clips, and live audio rooms in the Facebook mobile app.
Facebook has started rolling out the audio-hub feature for Android as well as iOS in the US says TechCrunch. US users aged 18 or older can view the option now. The audio hub is a tab located in the Facebook Watch section. The company is also working on audio-based services including Podcasts, Soundbits, and Live Audio Rooms.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says that soundbites are “an audio version” of Reels. The Short audio clips feature is currently available in beta in the US.
Additionally, Facebook has said that each Facebook group can also run audio discussions. US Facebook users can listen to the audio conversations on their PC as well. Currently, the company is working on creating audio rooms for Android users. Until now, the feature is limited to iOS devices.
