Facebook has confirmed that it is testing a tool that it would use to confirm that the user of the app is a human and not a bot. First spotted by code explorer Jane Manchun Wong, the tool when enabled would ask Facebook users to take a “video selfie” by asking them to move their head in different directions in order to give the tool a complete view of their face.

Facebook will then ask the user to take video selfie at specific intervals and would match the same with the initially stored head movements to confirm your identity. The tool, as per Facebook, only detects motion to be sure that you are a living human being and not a bot.
