Social media giant Facebook’s Twitter and Instagram were hacked on Friday for a brief moment before Facebook took back control over them. The account was reportedly hacked by a hacker group named OurMine. The same group, as per a report, has also comprised accounts belonging to HBO, New York Times and NFL.
A Twitter spokesperson confirming the news said that Facebook’s accounts, @Facebook and @Messenger, were hacked through a third-party platform on Friday. “As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we locked the compromised accounts and are working closely with our partners at Facebook to restore them,” the spokesperson added.
Some of our corporate social accounts were briefly hacked but we have secured and restored access

The hacker team that hacked the account posted a message on Twitter that read, “Hi, we are OurMine. Well, even Facebook is hackable but at least their security [is] better than Twitter…to improve your accounts security…Contact us”.
That’s some creepy way to promote oneself. One of the users recorded the hack and shared a clip of the same.
