Have you ever imagined what will happen if your internet connection is lost while making transfers? Well, there is a solution for this issue, so don’t panic. You can now make ‘UPI payments without the internet‘. If there is no internet, the *99# facility of the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) can be quite helpful.
*99# is NPCI’s USSD based mobile banking service. The service was launched in November 2012. Previously, it was only available for BSNL and MTNL users. You must note that your phone number must be linked with the bank account to make a UPI payment through *99#. Additionally, one-time registration is also required on the BHIM App from the same phone number.
Let’s Know How To Transfer Fund Using *99# USSD
Have you ever been stuck while transferring funds? If yes, simply follow the below-given steps to complete the process from now onwards.
Step 1: Firstly, open the dial pad in your phone and type *99# and then tap the call button. Now, you will get a new menu with 7 options, like Send Money, Receive Money, Check Balance, My Profile, Pending Requests, Transactions, and UPI PIN.
Step 2: In the case of sending money, choose the ‘Send Money option by pressing number 1.
Step 3: After this, you will be allowed to send funds using phone number, UPI ID or account number, and IFSC code.
Step 4: Enter the amount you want to transfer and enter your 4 or 6 digit UPI PIN to complete the transaction and tap ‘send’.
