In one great loss for the film industry, filmmaker Nishikant Kamat died in a Hyderabad hospital on Monday. Mr. Kamat was 50-year-old and was believed to have been suffering from chronic liver disease.
Nishikant Kamat was a popular name among the filmmakers for some of his phenomenal contribution to the industry. Hands down, he was the mind behind some of the most entertaining movies in the Bollywood including the likes of Drishyam, Rock Handsome, Force and Madaari.
Kamat even played the role of villain in his film Rocky Handsome and nailed it to the core.

Kamat’s career may have been short but he never failed to brainstorm the best content as he felt a sense of responsibility towards the audience. His first film, Dombivali Fast earned him accolades in Marathi cinema, as it went on to become the biggest Marathi film of the year.
Surely, such a great filmmaker would be missed and celebs and fans joined to bid him adieu on social media.

Nishikant was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, which he was fighting for two years.

For the unaware, Liver cirrhosis is a complication of liver disease that involves loss of liver cells and irreversible scarring of the liver caused by common causes like alcohol, viral hepatitis B and C.
