The greatest feature of Aadhaar is that you do not need to carry it physically all the time. In case, if it is misplaced, you can download it again using a 12-digit Unique Identification number (UID) or an Aadhaar number. How To Retrieve The Forgotten Aadhaar UID?
To start the retrieving Aadhaar UID process, you are required to ensure that you have the registered mobile number and email ID with UIDAI so that you can receive One-Time-Password (OTP) and verification email.
Step 1: Firstly, log in to ‘HTTPS: //resident.uidai.gov.in/.’

Step 2: Then, got to the ‘MyAadhaar’ option and then to ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID.’
Step 3: Now, you will be redirected to a new page where you will be asked to feed information like your name, registered mobile number, and registered email after selecting whether you want to retrieve UID or EID.
Step 4: Click on verify the Captcha code and hit the ‘Send OTP’ option.
Step 5: After this, enter OTP when asked and click on the submit option.
Step 6: In the end, you will get your UID or Aadhaar number on your mobile number and/or email-id depending on your previous selection.
