Former skipper and stylish left-hand batsmen Sourav Ganguly is all set to become the President of BCCI. Sourav said that it is an opportunity for him to do something at a time when the image of the board is quite hampered.

Earlier another ex-team India player Brijesh Patel was in the front run for selection to the post. Currently, Sourav is president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and up to leave that post in September 2020 for mandatory cooling off.

Sourav said that looking into “financial health” of first-class cricketers to strengthen the country’s domestic cricket would be his first priority.
