A new year calls for a new caller tune. And that’s exactly what the Indian government has for us in the kitty.
For the past few months, you have been listening to Amitabh Bachchan spreading awareness about coronavirus as your caller tune. But now, that’s going to be replaced with a new ringtone that will make people aware of the vaccination drive that is all set to begin in the country from January 16.
The new caller tune has a female voice and will be used to spread awareness about the vaccine.
“Naya saal Covid-19 ki vaccine ke roop main nayi aasha ki kiran lekar aaya hai. Bharat main bani vaccine surakshit aur prabhavi hai. Covid ke viruddh humey pratirodhak shamta deti hai. Bhartiya vaccine par bharosa Karen. Apni baari aane par vaccine zarur lagwayein. Afawaon par bharosa na kare,” the new caller tune says.
Besides these lines, the new caller tune also emphasises on advising people to continue to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour like wearing mask, maintaining social distance and washing hands, even after taking the vaccine.
Recently, an activist had filed a PIL in Delhi High court seeking removal of the coronavirus awareness caller tune in the voice of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.
