After a slight dip, the fuel price again increased on Sunday. However, the price of petrol has increased by 17 paise, whereas the price of diesel in New Delhi has gone up by 27 paise. Now, petrol is available at Rs. 93.21 per liter and diesel at Rs. 84.07 per liter.
However, the hike of petrol and diesel is lower than the hike made on Friday when the petrol price went up by 19 paise and the diesel price increased by 29 paise. Since May 4, the state-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have increased the fuel prices by 12 times. Therefore, petrol has become Rs 3.24 costlier per litre while diesel has become more expensive by Rs 2.94 per litre since then.

With the hike in the price of petrol made on Sunday, the petrol price has reached an inch closer to Rs 100 mark in the financial capital, Mumbai. However, in Mumbai, the petrol retailing at Rs 99.49 per litre and diesel trading at Rs 91.30 per litre.
Other than this, the petrol price has crossed Rs 100 mark in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Last week, Bhopal crossed Rs. 100 per litre for petrol and became the first state capital in India.
