This seems like a perfect idea. Rope in dogs as mayors of the cities and there you are, no one will ever have to hear those controversial and senseless comments and statements that politicians often make.
Well, keeping that for the future, as of now, let’s enjoy and celebrate the victory of the newly appointed mayor of Georgetown, Colorado.
In the rarest of the rare incident, the country recently has sworn in a dog as their honorary mayor. The news was confirmed on the ‘Mayor’s’ website.
“It was a packed house Tuesday Night at the Georgetown Community Center for Parker’s Inauguration Ceremony. Local law enforcement, citizens of Georgetown and fans of Parker the Snow Dog attended the event,” Clear Creek County posted about the Feb. 18 event on Facebook. “Police Judge Lynette Kelsey administered the Mayor oath to Parker the Snow Dog.”

The name of the new mayor is Parker the Snow Dog, who has his dressing sense on point. The chubby and furry friend arrived at the ceremony donning a tie, glasses and a big wide smile.
The dog as per a report by People is a therapy dog at Rocky Mountain Village Easter Seals Camp. He often visits disabled people and overwhelms them with hugs and licking, which they don’t mind at all.
In his sworn in speech he had said that “He is committed to bringing hugs, love, and cookies to the people of Georgetown.”
