Remember Jyoti Kumari, the 15-years old girl from Darbhanga who cycled for 1,200 Km to take her injured father home during the lockdown? The girl is now going to star in a movie on her life. Jyoti who received recognition and appreciation for her act from as far as Ivanka Trump would now take on acting.
She would play the lead role in a film based on her life, titled ‘Atmanirbhar’. The movie would roll out the problems that led to Jyoti’s journey which inspired many in the country. “Bahut achha lag raha hai (I feel very good)”, said Jyoti on being asked about her reaction on the announcement.
The movie would be produced by Wemakefilmz and would be directed by Shine Krishna. The film is expected to go on floors in the month of August. The rights of the film are acquired by Miraj and Fairoz, along with Krishna and Sajith Nambiar. The movie would be made available in Hindi, English, and Maithili and would be dubbed in other languages.

Shootings would take in real locations that were part of Jyoti’s journey from Gurugram to Darbhanga. For the International audience, the movie would be titled “A Journey of a Migrant ” with subtitles in 20 languages.
