#GoBackModi started trending once again on Twitter as the Prime Minister is visiting the state capital of Tamil Nadu to attend the visiting Chinese President.

This is the 2nd time in less than 14 days that #GoBackModi is trending on Twitter. Earlier when the PM visited Chennai to attend a convocation ceremony, the people from the state trended the hashtag to remind the PM that he is not welcome here.

Twitter was flooded with posts welcoming the Chinese President as guest and showing anger towards PM with the # GoBackModi. BJP is trying to make inroads in the state and is pushing the efforts after its performance in Karnataka assembly elections. However, so far it has not received people’s support.

On his recent visit to the U.S. when PM responded to the call of “Howdy Modi” in 8 different langauges Tamil was one of it. The recent visit of PM to Chennai is a more important one as he is hosting an International guest.
The Chinese President is expected to land in Chennai post 2 PM today. This would be the first informal summit between the two nations since the Wuhan summit last year.
