Delhi Government has decided to bring a great relief to residents of Delhi by ensuring that schools will run smoothly and parents won’t have to worry about sending their kids to school. Government has decided to exempt the penalties due to delay in renewal of permit and fitness of all school buses and cabs.
The order will be applicable till April 30, 2022. This means that all the schools and operators will have two months time to get their permits renewed. The condition is valid only to cabs that are operated by individuals, operators and schools and buses that are owned by schools themselves.
Kailash Gahlot, Transport Minister of Delhi went on Twitter and said, “To ensure smooth functioning of school services, Delhi govt has decided to exempt penalty fee for delays in renewal of fitness and permit up to 30.04.2022 for – School cabs (operated by operators/individuals/schools) -School buses (having school bus permit and owned by schools only).”

Aam Aadmi Party has also launched Aam Aadmi School Clinics that will ensure that school students have good mental, physical and emotional well being. The initiative was launched on March 8 and it was inaugurated by Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya Moti Bagh. 20 such clinics have been opened in the city in collaboration with The Hans Foundation.
Satyendar Jain said, “This is a unique first-of-its-kind project in the whole country. It is currently being executed in 20 schools of the Delhi government and will be further established in more schools around Delhi. Each clinic will have a trained doctor, ANM, Psychologist & Multi-Task Worker. ANM will be responsible for screening the students for any physical as well as mental health issues. In case of a physical health issue, ANM will refer the student to the doctor, whereas to the psychologist in case you have any mental health concerns.”
