Taking on the popularity of short video app ‘TikTok’ Google has launched its own version of the same. Named ‘Tangi’ the app would be focused on creativity and Do It Yourself (DIY) space.
Initially, the app would be available on the web and iOS. Unlike TikTok, Tangi wants people to learn new things. We’ve been working with creators who already make these kinds of videos, so that Tangi can become a place where they have a voice to inspire other makers,” said the founder of the app Coco Mao.

However, ‘Tangi’ would not be the only competitor to TikTok. Facebook last year quietly released a stand-alone app called “Lasso” to compete with TikTok.
