As the coronavirus is declared ‘Health Emergency‘ Google has joined hands with WHO (World Health Organization) to help the people. The technology giant has created a new SOS alert for all coronavirus searches on its platform.
As a part of this people searching for Coronavirus or its related keywords are shown curated search results page with the latest news, live updates from Twitter, and important information on coronavirus from WHO. The SOS alert service is active across all countries.
Google would also be donating a sum of $250,000 to the Chinese Red Cross via Google.org. So far the virus has caused over 200 deaths and has 8,000 confirmed cases. Doing its bit popular food chain McDonald is also supplying free food to health workers involved in Coronavirus treatment.

Rolled out in 2017 Google’s SOS alerts are meant for critical events that may involve public safety. Ad-free curated search result pages are designed to offer accurate and useful resources to people during the times of a public health emergency.
