Finding and reserving parking spots in advance is a brand-new function that Google Maps has added to make your trip even more seamless.
This new feature, which was created in partnership with SpotHero, makes it easier for drivers to plan their trips by enabling them to reserve parking before they reach their location.
Users may now search for parking spaces close to their location, such as “parking at the Royal Arena,” rather than going around the block seeking parking.
A new “Book” button displays next to parking places that may be reserved, in addition to the standard list of locations.
After you choose a spot, Google Maps will provide a popup window directing you to SpotHero’s website, where you can finish making the reservation without ever leaving the app.
According to Mobilsiden, this new function saves time and lessens the anxiety of having to look for parking when you get there.
Where Can You Use It?
More than 300 communities in the US and Canada provide the SpotHero-powered function.
It is intended to simplify and expedite parking, relieving users of one concern when travelling in congested urban areas.
