Google has given an early Valentine Gift to all Android lovers in the form of first developer preview of Android 13. All the users should know that this is just a first look of how Android 13 will look on mobile phones. It is intended for developers for now and we hope that very soon Google will roll out more details. The beta version of the new mobile OS will be available for public by April of this year. Google has planned to release it for general public by July.
As per our earlier experience Google might release the second preview by next month. It might release the beta version in April and in May a third preview might be released. Google does robust testing of the operating system to ensure that it is stable and does not cause any trouble to its users.
Android 13 will focus on improving the privacy and security which has become very essential today. It will also bring a new system of photo picker that will optimize the way in which user shares pictures locally and on cloud. The new Android document picker will also allow the users to share files without app needing permission to view all the media present on device. This will also be same for photos and videos as well which makes this even more exciting.

Slowly Google will provide Android 13 to more users through Google Play Updates. All devices currently running on Android 11 and above will get free updates from Google. Another feature is that apps will be able to connect with nearby devices via WiFi without needing location permission.
The new API will allow users to add custom tiles to Quick Settings. The users will also be able to adjust colour of the app icons. Earlier you could only change icon of Google apps. This will first be available for all Pixel handsets, but slowly all Android users will be able to do that. A per app language preference will also be provide for multi-lingual users.
