The PM Modi lead Govt. has launched India’s first e-commerce housing portal for the public where they can find ready-to-move-in flats. The website HousingForAll.com comes as a blessing for anyone looking to buy a ready-to-move-in house as now they can avail government-approved properties thus reducing the risk of fraud.
The portal was launched by the Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Durga Shanker Mishra who believes that it has the potential to become India’s ‘Amazon of Indian real estate’.
All You Need to Know
The website, though already launched, can only be accessed by homebuyers from February 14. Before that, the Government will invite real estate developers to register their projects on the website from January 14 to February 13.
You as a buyer, after Feburary 14, will get access to the builder’s complete inventory from which you can choose accordingly as per the needs and budget. The buyers can choose the property they want to invest in from 1st March till 31st March 2020.

Any property you like can be reserved after paying a refundable amount of Rs. 25,000 only. The amount will be refunded if in any case, you drop the plan of buying the property.
The National Real Estate Development Council under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been tasked to register only the ready to move in RERA-registered housing projects on the platform.
