Curbing the uncontrolled discretion of cab aggregators in deciding the commission from drivers and surge price government is likely to put a cap on it. As per reports, the government may cap commission from drivers at 10% of the total fare.

On surge price, a cap of 2 times the base fare can be placed. The moves would be a part of the government’s attempt to further regulate the cab-hailing services with a new set of rules.

The move also takes into consideration the rights of their driver-partners, cab aggregators, and consumers and tries to but a balanced way out.
