As India is witnessing a rise in the number of cases there are some hopes and worries. Worries are obvious about the deaths and death rate aka mortality rate. While the hopes are lying on the recovery rate. The government has revealed data about the two parameters.
With over 1, 700 deaths so far in the country the mortality rate of the virus stands at 3.42% at present. The cases of COVID-19 have crossed the 50,000 mark with a doubling rate of 11 days. Amidst this over 15, 000 patients have recovered or discharged.
The recovery rate in India is at present 28.71%. Ministry of Health and Family welfare is providing details on a real-time basis on its website about COVID-19 conditions in India. This data was also put on the official website.

The concern now for the country is the doubling rate of the virus. Going by the present rate the country would cross the 1 lakh cases mark by the time the lockdown 3.0 ends. This clearly hints at lockdown 4.0 and boosting up testing in the coming times.
