A government school teacher Rajni Bala was attacked and killed by terrorists in the Kulgam district of J&K. Aged 36. She lived in the valley for the past seven years and was shot outside her school in Gopalpora on Tuesday.
As per police, the teacher was targeted by terrorists after her husband dropped her outside the school on Tuesday morning. She was rushed to the hospital after the attack but could not survive due to excessive blood loss.
Her husband Raj Kumar is also a government school teacher and is posted in Kulgam. The couple also has a 13-year-old daughter.
Rapid Increase In Targeted Killings
The incident has left all the Hindu government employees scared and there is an increase in the outrage among the masses amid a rise in the targeted killings.
After this incident, the Hindu employees in the valley are demanding security and transfer to safeguard themselves.
In May 2022, three off-duty police officers and four civilians were killed in the targeted attacks by terrorists. Tv actress Amreena Bhatt and Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, who was a clerk were also killed. Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat was also killed by the terriorist.Aged 35, he worked for the Revenue Department. He was attacked at the teshil officer in Budgam district on 12th May.
Protesters Demand Security For Minorities In J&K
Protest and demand for security of minorities are necessitated in the valley.
As per J&K police, the attackers of Rajni Bala will be identified and neutralized soon. Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha has expressed regret over the teacher’s death and has said that the attackers will be given an unforgettable response.
Another tragic incident has left the minority community puzzled and devastated. This attack was the fourth attack on the Hindu minority community this year in the valley.
