Tourism is one of the most prominent aspects of any country and India is no exception. Instead, under the PM Modi Government, Indian tourism promotion has seen an unprecedented boom. And to motivate people further to travel more, the government is back with another delight.
In the recently concluded National Tourism Conference in Odisha, the govt. has proposed an exciting offer that would thrill backpackers.

According to Mr. Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Tourism Minister, the government will sponsor the travel expense of people who pledge to travel to 15 Indian destinations in a period of 1 year.
This comes under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ scheme dedicated to motivate people to travel and blend themselves in distinct cultures practiced across India. Besides sponsoring travel, the govt. will also conduct lucky draws and gifts (tickets and travel packages) to motivate people further.
Once you have travelled to 15 locations you will be eligible for the rewards.
Before that, you need to take a pledge to travel to 15 places by visiting this website. Anyone can take a pledge irrespective of the fact they complete the task or not.

Besides sponsoring trips, those who complete their travel to 15 locations will be declared brand ambassadors of Indian tourism, and that in itself is a great honour.
