The 50th meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland’s Davos is set to witness a clash between two contrasting personalities. US President Donald Trump and Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg (Popular for “How Dare You Speech”) on the issue of climate change.
The 4-day gathering of top political and business leaders from the world would see Trump giving the first keynote address of Davos 2020 on Tuesday morning. The gathering at Davos is meeting to discuss head-on the dangers to both the environment and economy from the heating of the planet.
At the time when Trump who has repeatedly expressed skepticism about climate change would be giving his speech, Greta would attend a meeting at the forum. In the meeting, she is expected to underline the message that governments are failing to wake up to the reality of climate change.
WEF’s recently released report warned that “climate change is striking harder and more rapidly than many expected”. The report also said that global temperature is on track to increase by at least 3 degrees Celsius towards the end of the century.

Interestingly when Trump would be presenting his address at Davos his impeachment trial would open at the Senate in Washington. Though Trump and Greta would be on the same forum the chances of an encounter is less due to crowded venue and intense schedule.
