Scientists from across the world are trying to find a vaccine that can help in fighting coronavirus and India is no exception. In India too, scientists are trying to find a vaccine to curb the virus effects on human body.
However, there’s something more India is trying to do in terms of helping people to get out of COVID-19 woes – the trial of medicine from cow products.
The Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog has said that it will soon begin the trail of COVID-19 medicine derived from cow’s milk, butter, ghee, dung and urine.

Dr. Vallabh Kathiria who is the Chairman of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog, told Ahmedabad Mirror that the clinical trials of the medicine will begin soon using protocols used to test allopathic medicines.
“The effectiveness of Panchgavya medicine is known in India for centuries but not established in modern scientific context. Today, when the world is struggling to find a medicine for Covid-19, there is a distinct possibility that Panchgavya medicine may give us an effective treatment or cure,” he said.

The test will be conducted across 10 hospitals in the country including Ahmedabad and Surat. This comes despite the fact that the effectiveness of Panchgavya to treat any ailment is not proven yet.

Also, this is not the first time that using the immunity-boosting ayurvedic drug ‘Fifatrol’ to treat COVID-19 has been proposed. Earlier, researchers at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) had proposed to send it to a task force formed by the government for scientific validation of Ayurveda and traditional medicinal formulas through research institutions in tackling COVID-19.
