Opening up about the ban on star All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina said that he has made a mistake but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stands with him.
Shakib was handed a 2-year ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC), for his failure to report corrupt approaches. Out of the 2 year one year ban is suspended and the cricketer, for now, would have to face one year of suspension.

The ban would keep out Shakib form next year’s IPL and the upcoming ICC T20 WC 2020 in Australia.
