Helicopter Bookings for Amarnath Yatra Now Open: Check Prices and More

The annual Amarnath travel is scheduled to commence on June 29 and end on August 19, overlapping with the festivals of Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima, according to a statement released by SASB. The Neelgrath-Panjtarni-Neelgrath sector will host helicopter services for the north Kashmir Baltal route, while the Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam sector will host flights for the Pahalgam route.

According to officials, the official website https://jksasb.nic.in/ is where customers can make online reservations for helicopter services. They clarified that there will be no offline ticket sales or priority reservations.

As a result, reservations will be given to devotees directly and on a first-come, first-served basis. From Pahalgam to Panjtarni, the one-way fee is INR 4,900, while the round-trip rate is INR 9,800. The one-way fee for the Neelgrath to Panjtarni route is INR 3,250, and the round-trip fare is INR 6,500.

It takes a while to go to and from the holy cave from the Panjtarni helipad. As a result, pilgrims who have open slots will enjoy a minimum of five to six-hour breaks between travels. Throughout the trek, pilgrims must have a valid health certificate and an original picture ID card. Additionally, they must go to their designated helipads at least half an hour ahead of schedule.

Only for travel between Neelgrath and Srinagar are charter reservations accepted. Priority seating is available on the connecting route between Neelgrath and Panjtarni. This will guarantee pilgrims who choose to use charter services a simplified and effective experience.

Everything is going well with the pilgrimage preparations. This year, 125 langars (community kitchens) have been granted permission to operate up to the holy cave to serve food and beverages to pilgrims. Advance registration for pilgrims opened on April 15.

During his visit to Katra on May 16, Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urged followers to serve as messengers and spread the word about Lord Shiva. There will likely be a sizable number of pilgrims making the journey this year, and the SASB is dedicated to making sure that everyone who takes part has a safe and well-organized yatra.
