Rajkummar Rao married Patralekhaa, his longtime lover, today in a lavish ceremony in Mumbai (November 15). The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort in New Chandigarh is where the pair exchanged vows after dating for more than a decade. A traditional Hindu wedding was held for the pair, and the two of them looked gorgeous as newlyweds. Rajkummar opted for a beige sherwani, and Patralekhaa opted for a crimson lehenga for the occasion. There is no doubt that the couple’s wedding photos seem like something out of a fairy tale.
When Rajkummar posted wedding images on his Instagram account, he commented, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here’s to forever .. and beyond”
A video of Rajkummar and Patralekhaa’s engagement ceremony went popular on the internet only a few days ago. Adorable footage shows the actor kneeling down to propose to his girlfriend and then she does the same. The song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran was playing in the background as the two exchanged rings. At The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort, New Chandigarh, their private engagement was held.
He and his wife were seen wearing the same shade of white. Both Rajkummar and Patralekhaa dressed in white and silver gowns, while Rajkummar picked a white kurta with matching shoes.
She wrote, “11 years of knowing you and honestly there hasn’t been a dull moment in my relationship with you ever since. We’ve had our “moments,” some of which can serve as lovely anecdotes at dull parties, some of which that have filled me with gratitude and some that have shaped the way I look at art and life. We disagree on politics, but that’s okay, I guess. We agree on a lot of other things which I love, but perhaps the most sobering realisation for me has been to stand witness to your empathic tendencies.”
“A motormouth like me just doesn’t stop and when I have expressed or expressed grief, I have seen you feel it too. I have seen it in your eyes and by the way your demeanour changes. Your animal status just goes down. When I express joy, I see the happiness in your eyes and, bro, does your animal status go high. You become so childlike. I thank your soul for that empathy and I thank the Gods and your stars for allowing the cameras to capture that. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to witness genius at home.”
Hansal Mehta’s Citylights and Bose: Dead/Alive are two examples of their collaboration. Rajkummar made his acting debut in Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, a Bollywood production. This isn’t all he’s done; he’s also appeared in films like Kai Po Che! and CityLights. Hum Do Humare Do, which premiered on Disney Plus and Hotstar, was his most recent role.
