Game of Thrones (GOT) fans might not like the latest announcement that’s doing the rounds on the internet. As per the official Twitter handle of GOT, the prequel to the popular GOT series is shelved.

The series is co-created by @GRRMSpeaking and Ryan Condal. Miguel Sapochnik will partner with Condal as showrunner and will direct the pilot and additional episodes. Condal will be writing the series. pic.twitter.com/9ttMzElgXm
The prequel starring Naomi Watts had begun the shoot and shot the pilot but was sacked as the HBO network (the production behind GOT) didn’t like it. House of Dragon would now be the prequel to the series.
The new prequel would be set three centuries before the GOT time period and would be focused on House Targaryen and Daenerys’ ancestors. House of Dragon would be based on a book by George R.R. Martin titled Fire & Blood.
