A Mumbai-based startup Railofy has curated an app to make train travel easier for the people out there. The app allows a passenger to easily receive real-time passenger name record (PNR) status and train journey details directly on Whatsapp.
The app, as per the maker, will bring down the time taken to search for the PNR status and other details including, where the train is at, live station alerts, delays, etc.

To avail the feature, anyone interested needs to share their 10 digit PNR number only once to the WhatsApp number: +91 98811 93322.
How to check PNR status as well as real-time train journey information on WhatsApp:
- Start with updating your Whatsapp to the latest version.
- Next save the mobile number “+91-9881193322”, which is Railofy’s train enquiry number on your mobile phone.
- Then head to WhatsApp, click on the new message button and choose the Railofy contact and type in your 10 digit PNR number in the message window.
- Send the PNR number to Railofy. The feature will send you alerts and real-time updates about your train journey and status on WhatsApp.

Once you have sent the mobile number on WhatsApp, Railofy will send you updates on a regular basis. Additionally, passengers traveling inside the train will also be informed about the upcoming railway station.
