WhatsApp’s recent privacy policy woes has prompted many users to shift from the app to other apps like Telegram and Signal. And making the transfer easier for you is Telegram.
To ensure one, while transferring from WhatsApp to Telegram, doesn’t lose all their precious chats, Telegram has come up with a new feature. The feature allows you to simply transfer your chat from WhatsApp to Telegram in a few simple steps.

How to export WhatsApp Chats to Telegram
To start with the transfer, make sure both the apps – Telegram and WhatsApp – are up to date. Then follow these steps:
- Launch the WhatsApp app.
- Find the individual or group chat that you want to export.
- Then tap on the three dots on the top right corner. A menu will open.
- Click ‘More’ in the menu.
- Now tap on Export chat.
- Choose whether to export with media or without media.
Once done, the app will ask you where to import the chat to and that’s when you need to select Telegram. Here, select the contact name and within seconds it will start importing the chats.
