In New, Guidelines Government Exempts Some More Activities Of Lockdown Restrictions From 20th April

After rolling out the guidelines on 15th April, the Ministry of Home Affairs came up with a new set of guidelines today. The 13 activities that were suspended during the early notification would remain so till 3rd May.

The guidelines have focused on the rural and agriculture sector much like the previous ones. As per the new guidelines following activities would be exempted from 20th April along with the previous ones:

  • Activities reg. Minor/Non-Timber Forest produce
  • Activities reg. Bamboo, Coconut, Arecanut, Cocoa, Spices plantations
  • NBFCs & Coop Credit Societies
  • Activities reg. Construction in Rural Areas

All these activities would come in action from 20th April. However, the adherence to measures like social distancing, covering of face with masks and sanitization would be there. As per PM’s speech review of the coronavirus hotspots would also be done in this entire week.

On 20th April decisions regarding relaxations of districts who are recovering can also be taken. India has so far crossed 13,000 cases with around 450 deaths being reported. 1,793 people have recovered so far.
