Taxpayers have filed their Income Tax Return but now they also have to complete the process by completing the e-verification process. The process of filing is not complete when you file the ITR. You also have to verify ITR online otherwise it will be treated as invalid.

Income Tax Return Verification By Aadhaar OTP
- Go to official e-portal of Income Tax Department
- Log in with your credentials
- Make sure that your Aadhaar Card is linked with PAN Card
- Go to e-Verify page and select ‘I would like to e-verify using OTP on a mobile number registered with Aadhaar.’
- Click on ‘I agree to validate my Aadhaar details’ and click on the ‘Generate Aadhaar OTP’
- Enter 6 digit OTP and click on Submit button
Verification By EVC Through Net Banking
- Go to e-Verify page and select ‘Through Net Banking’
- Select the bank through which you want to verify your ITR and click Continue button
- Log in to your net banking account and select e-Verify option
- You will get redirected to e-filing portal
- Go to ITR form and click on e-verify
Income Tax Return Verification By EVC Through ATM
- Go to your bank ATM
- Enter your PIN and generate EVC
- You will get EVC on your mobile number
- Login on e-portal of Income Tax Department
- Go to e-verify page and select ‘I already have an Electronic Verification Code (EVC)’
- Enter EVC Code and click e-verify
Make a note that it is mandatory to verify Income Tax Return otherwise it will be considered invalid.
