India and Pakistan on Thursday signed an agreement to operationalise Kartarpur corridor, a passage that would connect the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in India’s Punjab with the Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur. The corridor will allow the visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims to the gurudwara.

The Kartarpur Gurudwara in Pakistan is believed to be built on the site where Guru Nanak spent the final years of his life. Pakistan has said that each Indian visitor would be required to pay $20 as fee to visit the same.
