New Covid Cases In Last 24 Hrs
Minimum 2067 new COVID cases were detected in India on Wednesday, this is a boost of 65 per cent from yesterday. The nation’s active cases now reached 12,340 as per the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
In the last 24 hours 40 deaths are logged which includes 32 deaths reported in Kerala. Now the daily positivity rate stands at 0.49 per cent today and the weekly positivity rate is calculated at 0.38 per cent.
However, it is reported that 1,547 patients have recovered from COVID in the last 24 hours. With the latest report, the total number of recovered patients has pumped up to 4,25,13,248 since the pandemic started in the country. We are currently progressing with a recovery rate of 98.76 per cent. Across the country, a total number of 186.90 Cr Covid vaccines have been administered now.
Delhi Schools Will Remain Open
In Delhi, the schools will remain open for now until further notice. And later after the discussion with experts, the guidelines to prevent the infection from spreading will be described.
For the past few days, the COVID cases are on the rise in the National Capital. If we compare it to the previous day there has been a rise of 26 per cent in fresh cases. As per doctors, we can witness a surge in COVID cases in the upcoming days.

Wearing Mask Made Mandatory In Delhi
After witnessing the rise in active cases in the national capital, it is announced Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal that wearing a mask is now mandatory in Delhi. In a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) attended by the Governor, some strict decisions have been made. Now the authority will ensure rapid testing, implementation of strict COVID rules and vaccination of a large targeted population.
The government may fine Delhi residents for not wearing masks, as they are planning to revive the penalty rules amid a rise in COVID cases.
