Putting an all-round clean performance in the 1st test at Indore, India thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. In reply to Bangladesh’s 150 in 1st innings, India posted mammoth 493/6 (declared) courtesy Mayank Agarwal’s brilliant 243.

Bangladesh came out to bat in the 2nd innings trailing by 343 runs. The task was already dominating and the likes of Shami and Umesh made it even more difficult with quick wickets.

Bangladesh bundled out for 213 in the final session of the third day’s play handing India a comfortable win. With this win, India grabbed 60 more points in the World Test Championship and maintained its position on top of the table.
The next test of the series would be played in Kolkata from November 22nd. The Kolkata Test between the two sides would be the first pink ball day and night test match to be played on Indian soil.
