India is dangerously climbing up the ladder in terms of COVID-19 cases with new records being set each day. As the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Director Dr. Randeep Guleria said cases would peak in June and July it is happening as said so far. India who is just behind Italy recorded 9,304 cases in the last 24 hours.
India with over 2.17 lakh cases also touched the 24 hours high in terms of deaths. With a spike of 260 deaths, India’s death count is now over 6,000. The spread of death is also wide as 25 states and Union Territories have reported deaths. At this pace, India would soon displace Italy from the 6th spot. Only positive begin the death rate is both that high.
Meanwhile, over 1 lakh people have recovered from the virus with the recovery rate climbing to 48%. However, the high rise in cases would translate into a proportional rise in the death rate due to a shortage of hospital beds in India. The Unlocking of things can be a booster for the rise in cases.

Most of the states across India are sending patients for home quarantine as they want to save beds for critical patients. Since home quarantine is not possible for all the risk to patient’s associated one’s rises.
