Amidst the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the Indian embassy in China has backed off from Republic day celebrations. The virus has so far affected more than 800 people. The virus has aslo caused 25 deaths so far.
The Chinese government has announced lockdown in cities to prevent the spread of the virus. 25 Indian students were reported to be trapped in Wuhan which is the center for the outbreak of the virus.

The Indian embassy took to twitter to inform about the cancellation of celebrations. Coronavirus is known to spread through human transmission.
