Rail passengers, take note! Schedule modifications for a few Vande Bharat Express trains will take effect on January 1, 2025, according to Indian Railways (IR). There are now 136 Vande Bharat Express trains running throughout the nation. It is recommended that travellers review the updated schedule before their trip.
Four semi-high-speed trains—train number 22499 Deoghar-Varanasi, train number 22345 Patna-Gomti Nagar, train number 22545 Lucknow-Dehradun, and train number 22346 Gomti Nagar-Patna—have their schedules updated in the new schedule. With these changes, the national transporter hopes to improve operating efficiency.
Current train timetables are available via the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in), or by contacting station management and inquiry counters at the appropriate stations.
Deoghar-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
The train number is 22499. On the NEWC-BSB segment, the Deoghar-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will leave at 21:53 rather than 21:55 and arrive at its destination at 22:30.
Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express
Similarly, the Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express train number 22345 will leave at 09:05, five minutes later than it was originally scheduled, and arrive at its destination at 14:35. Additionally, the NEWC-ML section’s arrival time has been changed from 14:15 to 14:20 hours.
Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express
The Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express train number 22545 will arrive at the LJN-DDN segment a little later than expected—13:40 hours instead of 13:35.
Bharat Express Gomti Nagar-Patna Vande
Last but not least, train number 22346 Gomti Nagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express will reach the ML-NEWC section later than expected. The new time is 20:43 hours instead of 20:35 hours. At 23:45, the train will arrive at its destination.
